PUBLIC MEETING IN GLYNCORRWG
A PUBLIC meeting was held in Glyncorrwg, on January 23, with regards to the proposal from Eco2 to place a wind farm in the area.
Members of the community are opposing the wind farm, the proposed site of which is on Corrwg Fechan Mountain.
A committee has now been formed to oppose the wind farm and community members are rallying together as a united front to fight Eco2’s proposal.
In the meeting a poem about the wind farms was handed to a member of staff. The writer wishes to remain anonymous:
Ode to the Wind Farms:
We don’t want your ugly windmills,
Cluttering up our fields of green,
We prefer to see our Welsh hills,
Not machines that look obscene!
Chorus:
Take your bribes and metal robots,
Why not dump them in the sea?
We would rather be the have-nots,
And protect our scenery!
